Light weight but sturdy children's sized Viking or round shield with Norse embossed design in various stains. Features a custom made steel shield boss (or umbo) that covers the user's hand as well as a shaped wooden handle. Shield edge is wrapped in black fabric. Shield board is pine 3 ply and quite strong for the thickness and weight. Constructed with copper rivets. Constructed in very similar manner as genuine archeological finds. Perfect for Halloween, Ren Faire, cosplay, and SCA events. Works well as a Buckler or Targe for light sparring contact.
PLEASE NOTE: When ordering the Brown color variation, stain may vary in tint. We hand stain to order, so each shield is unique.
