DISCLAIMER:
Umbos are made of carbon steel and will rust over time, especially when exposed to elements. We oil them down to polish and prolong their life. If the umbo begins to rust, it can be removed with steel wool. We recommend oiling the umbo or rubbing it with furniture wax to slow rust from forming.
